Merry Christmas!

We had another wonderful Christmas season. We celebrated Christmas Eve with Shane's family. We had a great breakfast in the morning at his mom's and the traditional Christmas Eve dinner of Cosetta's mostaccioli at Grandma and Grandpa Dineen's.

With snow coming down all day on Christmas, we decided to celebrate Christmas Day at our house in Shoreview with just the four of us. Santa was sure generous this year. Zo and Eli hit the jackpot! They got new mice, balls, feathers, and scratchers (just to name a few!)

Shane got a winter coat, snow pants and gloves. He's all set for skiing (or more likely for snow blowing!)

And I got a ton of new shirts and a couple pairs of pants.

After Christmas, we were able to take a trip to North Dakota to visit my family. We spent a few days in the bustling city of Zeeland visiting my Grandma Schatz. We hit the bar one night for a festive game of bingo - I was only 2 numbers away from a blackout (the pot was $360!) but instead I won $25, which was enough to cover our tab of 6 bingo cards and 6 beers (money sure goes far at the Zeeland bar!)

Our next stop was Bismarck to visit my Grandma and Grandpa Klein. Of course we showed up just in time for lunch (you don't want to miss a meal when visiting my Grandma Klein - she is a fantastic chef - it's amazing what she can make out of flour and potatoes!) Then it was on to Fessenden to visit my parents. We had a great time eating and chatting and eating some more! My mom and I even attempted to make cheese buttons for the very first time! And they actually turned out pretty good!

We had a wonderful holiday season and hope you did as well! Merry Christmas everyone!
