Our Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was a very special one in our household – our very first Thanksgiving with Owen! We had so much to be thankful for this year!

"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever." Psalm 107:1

We had a delicious homemade Thanksgiving dinner with my sister and parents in Fargo and then we all hopped in the car and headed to Wahpeton to enjoy pie with my brother and his family.

It was the first time Owen had met his Uncle Jon. For those of you that know Owen, he's not too fond of strangers, but he walked right up to Jon with his arms out reached making his trademark "uh uh" (which translated means "hold me!")
Owen had fun playing with his cousins Mariah and Emma. He especially liked showing Emma (who is 7 months younger) how her toys worked.

"See Emma - this is a book. Just say 'uh uh' and point to it and your Mama will read it to you."

"Thanks for the info, cousin Owen."

Emma was fascinated by Owen's adorable curls and loved giving them a tug.

"Hey Emma, please don't do that!"

The kids had a wonderful time together (and posing for pictures!)

"Cheese!"

On the Saturday following Thanksgiving, Shane's cousin got married in Fargo. Owen napped through the ceremony so he was well rested to party all night long! At the reception Owen was able to meet many of his great aunts, uncles and cousins. He danced up a storm and kept us on our toes climbing up and down the stairs next to our table. By the end of the night, he was beat and ready for bed!
