The Vehicle Fair

On a cold and windy spring morning, the Slominski crew headed to the Vehicle Fair at Cole's preschool.  If you've never been to a Vehicle Fair, it's pretty much what it sounds like...a row of parked vehicles that you can see and touch both inside and out.

With the chilly weather, we quickly loaded into the school bus to check it out.  We sat in the way back of the bus like the cool kids and even got to test out the driver's seat...

Another favorite was the big red fire truck.  There was quite a line to get inside, but eventually it was our turn to try out the fire fighters seat.

Then we were off to the next vehicle - the Coborn's Delivers Truck.  The boys loved running around inside the truck and checking out the driver's seat.  We may have a couple future grocers on our hands just like Popi Jerry.

Later Cole saw the gigantic wheels of the garbage truck and he just had to go in for a closer look.

The ambulance was probably their favorite vehicle.  Owen and Cole both had their pulses taken and were able to help bandage and give oxygen to a teddy bear.

Cole was a bit confused with the pulse machine.  He thought it was some sort of iPad and kept moving his finger across the screen to see if something would happen.

Owen and Cole also had the chance to decorate their very own plate.  First they decorated a round piece of paper with priceless works of art and then the paper was then sent off somewhere where they transferred their masterpieces onto a plate.  Owen's artwork included multiple dinosaurs, a volcano and a tree and Cole's included prints of his hands with some abstract drawings around his hand prints.  They turned out great!

The boys loved seeing all the cool vehicles up close and personal and making their very own plates.  Such a fun way to spend a chilly spring morning!
