During this very long winter, Owen went skiing for the first time...and loved it! It's the first sport that he has shown any interest in doing (very few things in his world are worth taking time away from his dinosaurs!)
His first couple ski excursions were to a small hill at Como Park. He was a bit nervous going down and usually held Shane's hand.
He enjoyed it so much that when Shane asked if he wanted to take a lesson at Buck Hill, he eagerly said yes. At his lesson, he learned the basics of skiing and even got to ride on the Magic Carpet (the moving walkway that takes you up the smaller hills).

His first lesson went so well that he took several more. Even in the freezing cold, Owen was eager to get out on the snow. And after every lesson, Owen would beg Shane to go skiing with him. They'd spend hours outside in the frigid cold riding the magic carpet up the hill and skiing back down, over and over again. Here he comes, zooming down the hill.

It wasn't long before the small bunny hill just wasn't exciting enough for him. He was on to bigger things, including the chair lift (I almost had a heart attach when I found out!)

And off he goes again! He sure loves to ski!
