Summer flew by once again and before we knew it, the start of the school year had arrived.
This year was a big one for Cole. He started Kindergarten! He goes to the Kindergarten Center at Snail Lake and is in Mrs. Johnson's class. It's his first time taking the bus to and from school and going to class all day. Luckily he was able to spend a month this summer at K Camp getting to know his new school and getting used to riding the bus. It really helped him transition smoothly when the first day of Kindergarten arrived. Something else new for him...Cole got glasses! He's had a hard time keeping them on (somehow we lose them everyday!) Fingers crossed he doesn't lose them at school!
Cole's bus picked him up bright and early at 8:00 am. He got right on the school bus and off he went! He didn't even shed a tear (I wish I could say the same for me!)
Owen started 3rd grade at Turtle Lake in Mrs. Lyttle's classroom. He was excited to be one of the "Big Kids" at school. This is his 4th year at Turtle so he's a big man on campus. One new thing for him this year - he decided to be a "hot lunch" kid so no more packing lunch for him every day (and one less thing to worry about in the busy morning!)
At 8:20 am, Owen loaded onto the bus and drove off to Turtle, leaving the house strangely quiet for the next hour until Rose finally woke up from her slumber. She was sure confused as to where her brothers had gone. But I think we're both going to love our one-on-one time together with just the girls!
Have a wonderful first day at school, boys!!
