It's hard to believe it was 9 years ago when you surprised us with your presence. Just 3 days later, we were at the doctor's office for your first of many photos ops. You were teeny, tiny!
You continue to surprise us to this day with all you have been able to accomplish. Your love of music puts a song in our souls. Your love of sports keeps us running. And your love of humor puts a smile on our faces. You are our little miracle and we've been so blessed to watch you grow from a tiny little pea in my tummy to the big boy that you've become.
You love celebrating your Family Day. It's your very special day that you can pick whatever you'd like to do. This year you choose an outing on the town with Pa. The first stop was your favorite breakfast joint - The Original Pancake House. By the time you arrived, it was lunch time, but lucky for you, if the doors are open, breakfast is being served! You got your favorites - bacon and gluten-free toast. You even got an extra piece of bacon to enjoy. You and Pa sat at the counter at the restaurant and watched the Olympics speed skating event while nibbling away (you love watching sports on TV!)
After filling up your tummies, you and Pa ventured off to the Children's Museum. You explored all the different exhibits at the Museum (they even had a Daniel Tiger one!)
Your favorite was the wind socks. You'd load them up with a ping pong ball and watch with delight as the ball shot right out!
Your day out in the big city took quite the toll - you were beat! Around 4:00 pm I caught you snoozing in your favorite TV viewing spot right in front of the TV cabinet.
After you awoke from your slumber, you requested dinner at your other favorite joint - Red Robin! You ordered your usual: cranberry juice, turkey burger (hold the bun) and a side of fries. You gobbled it all up while playing some fun games on their table top electronic device.
You are our silly, sensitive, energetic, always-on-the-move kiddo. You keep us on our toes with a smile on our faces and joy in our hearts! We love you, Cole! Happy 9th Family Day!
