It's a Roblox/Elephant Party!

A Roblox/Elephant birthday party you say?? YEP! That's what happens when you combine an 11 year old Roblox obsessed gamer's party with a 4 year old's beloved elephant lovey.  Owen is more than a little enthusiastic when it comes to Roblox. He can tell you ALL about - more than you'd EVER want to know! And as for Rose, she just adores her elephant lovey that she named Tutu. Tutu goes everywhere with her. She can be up bouncing off the walls at 10:30 at night, UNTIL Tutu is located and then, zonk, she's out like a light thanks to Tutu!  So this year's combined birthday party celebration would feature BOTH Roblox and Elephants!

The invitations were made, the decorations ordered, and the menu set. The birthday guests of honor were SO excited for their big party.

The house was decorated for the celebration with half of the house covered in elephants and half of the house decorated with Roblox characters.

Rose picked out her party attire. She wore the same dress last year too. She loves her fancy party dress, although she's grown so much that it barely fit her.

And of course, Owen had to have the perfect Roblox t-shirt for his big birthday bash.

The cakes matched the themes - one designed in honor of Tutu, the other featuring Roblox's Builderman (one of Owen's favorite characters).

There was fun with games, like pin-the-nose on the elephant.

Playing outside...

And opening presents...

Owen only had 2 things in his birthday wish list - a Roblox gift card and cash.

As for Rose, her top 3 list included Rudolph, a Hatchimal, and a "baby in an egg". She was thrilled to open her gifts...Rudolph - CHECK! Hatchimal - CHECK! Wait a minute, where's the "baby in an egg"??  She was so disappointed that she didn't get one, but I couldn't figure out what she was talking about. So after the party we went back to Target where she had originally seen it so that she could show me. It was indeed a "baby in an egg" (a.k.a., an L.O.L. Surprise Doll) which she ended up buying with her birthday money.

After all the present fun, we dug into lunch - the kids' requested Cane's chicken fingers and fries.  Next came the pinata! The kids went one by one, pulling a string off the bottom of the pinata. Nearly all the strings were pulled before the lucky one attached to the trap door was finally selected by Owen and all the candy came tumbling out.

After the candy came more sugar - the cakes! We first sang Happy Birthday to Owen and then to Rose.

There was PLENTY of cake for all!

What a fun day celebrating our two August birthdays! A very happy 11th birthday to Owen and 4th birthday to Rose!
