Rose and Kate joined the Grupo de Danzas Colombianas this fall. Rose had danced with them before COVID, and now Kate is old enough to join in the fun. They are in the same class which has made it an easy transition for Kate. It is full Spanish immersion for them which can be a bit confusing and frustrating at times. But we are so grateful that the girls have this amazing opportunity to learn traditional Colombian dances. While Rose isn't sure that she wants to continue next year, Kate is loving it and hopefully will dance for many more years to come.
The girls had their first presentation of the year (and very first dance recital ever for Kate!) at the Science Museum. It was an amazing presentation with dancers from preschool aged all the way to adults. The girls looked gorgeous in their traditional Colombian dresses.
