Rose's First Communion

Rose celebrated her First Communion at St. Odilia Catholic Church on April 29th. She looked beautiful dressed all in white for the special occasion. 

When planning her outfit, she had very specific requirements. Thankfully Amazon came through and met each one of them. A fancy, yet comfy white gown - check. White gloves - check. Sparkly headband, but no veil - check. Pretty white shoes - check. She was all set!

There were nearly 100 First Communicants at St. Odilia's this year. The kids were split into two separate masses to accommodate the large group.

We had a reserved seat near the front of the church. Soon the First Communicants appeared and reverently walked down the aisle two by two. 

It was a beautiful mass and quite the special day.

Afterwards we headed home with our guests to celebrate. We barely made it inside the door before Rose was throwing on some more comfortable clothing.

Rose had requested sandwiches from Jersey Mike's for her luncheon celebration. 

She had worked hard the night before whipping up a couple batches of brownies to serve to her guests. They were delicious!

After dessert, it was time to open gifts.

What a wonderful day we had celebrating Rose's First Communion with our special guests.
