Halloween 2023

The boys decided that they were too old to celebrate Halloween, so it was just the girls who dressed up. The girls picked out their costumes well in advance this year. Rose wanted to dress up as Wednesday Adams. With her long dark locks, it was the perfect costume for her. For her sidekick, she insisted on "Thing" so it could sit on her shoulder just like in the new 'Wednesday' series on Netflix. Kate requested to be Ladybug (from the cartoon 'Miraculous'). Kate, of course, also needed a sidekick so we tracked down Tikki for the role (for those who don't know, Tikki is Ladybug's Kwami who gives her super powers).

As for Aria, she dressed up as the most beautiful Princess Jasmine from Aladdin.

We partook in several fun Halloween celebrations including a chilly trunk-or-treat at Totino-Grace, decorating pumpkins at Cub Foods, a party at Nana Judy's house, a special event at our local golf course, and of course, trick-or-treating on the big night! 

The following weekend, the kids had a Halloween hunt for goodies at home, and even the boys were happy to participate. The treats for the oldest four were hidden, and each given their turn to find all their fun treasures. 

Aria received her own Halloween basket full of goodies just for her. She happily pulled each one out to take a peak. 

Everyone found enough sweets and treats to last them awhile. It was a great way to wrap up the festivities for all. Happy Halloween!
