Lacrosse

This spring Owen decided to try out for Lacrosse. Having never played lacrosse, he was nervous but quite determined to give it a shot. He played on a co-op team with both Totino-Grace and St. Anthony. Even with both schools combined, the JV team was quite small. His teammates welcomed him with open arms and helped him learn all the rules and strategies of the game.

Owen was assigned number #43. I could always tell which player he was by his navy and white sneakers. All the other players wore cleats, but Owen didn't want to wear anything other than his comfy tennis shoes.

Unfortunately, an early season injury left him out of the game the first several weeks, but he finished the season strong. At the end of the year banquet, he received the Captain's Award for "Teammate of the Year". What an amazing way to end the season. 

Owen had his very own fan section cheering from the stands. We are so proud of him for trying something new. He really enjoyed the experience and is looking forward to playing more lacrosse in his future.
