At the end of October, we took our annual trip to Waldoch Farm. We were short on time since Kate had a Halloween party that morning, but we packed in as many activities as we could. Our first task at hand was the hay ride to the pumpkin patch. We wanted to be sure that we had ample time to find the perfect pumpkins. We all loaded up on the "hay ride" which doesn't actually have any hay, but is instead just a large covered trailer with plenty of bench seating.
We learned last year that the trailer was wheelchair accessible featuring a lift! We could easily load the kids in their strollers onto the trailer and off we rolled. Sam was not a fan of the ride and was quite nervous as we started off.
Once we got to the pumpkin patch, everyone took off in different directions in search of their favorite pumpkin. It took some time, but eventually everyone made their selection as we carried all six pumpkins to the checkout area. We sure had quite the load!
We loaded everyone plus our pumpkins onto the trailer and took the short ride back towards the farm entrance where we transferred all our pumpkins into our vehicle. With our pumpkins ready to go, we were able to spend the rest of our time enjoying the various activities at the farm. We were unfortunately short on time and didn't get to the petting zoo or corn maze. Instead we focused on the kids' most requested activities - the corn pit (a fan favorite amongst the youngest four)...
