On May 1st, Kate participated in the Kindergarten/First Grade musical at St. Odilia's called "Hats". It was quite the production with 34 dancers, 72 speaking parts and 7 solos. Kate had requested a short speaking part and had it down pat plus all the songs and dance moves.
It was a spectacular show and all the kids did amazing. Kate was able to choose any hat she wanted to wear and she picked her blue and white Colombia hat. It was perfect for the occasion.
They performed twice - once at 3:00 pm and once at 6:30 pm. I was the lucky one who got to see it first while Shane attended the 6:30 showing. After the first show, we picked up Rose from school and the three of us headed to DQ for a post-performance snack.
Kate's was nervous, but her smile shined through and she nailed her speaking part, "What kind of hat are you making, Ima?" She did such a fantastic job! We are so very proud of her. Enjoy the show...
