Cole's Confirmation

On June 14, 2025, Cole was confirmed at the Cathedral of Saint Paul. He had been preparing for this day for two years through our local confirmation program at St. Odilia.

He chose his uncle Jason as his Sponsor. Cole was thankful to have his guidance throughout the 2-year program and his support on the big day.

Cole also had to choose a Saint name. When chatting with him about traits he liked, humor was at the top of his list. Cole loves being a clown so wanted a Saint he could relate to. My Google search lead us to Philip Neri, known as the patron saint of laughter and joy.

St. Odilia was one of three parishes with confirmands at the mass. The Cathedral was packed full of family and friends who had come to view the ceremony. Because of the high number of Spanish-speaking congregations, mass was spoken in both Spanish and English and ended up being a 2-hour long service.

After mass, Cole and his class of St. Odilia confirmands lined up for a group photo.

We then headed home for a small celebration.

Great Popi Dineen and Aunt Donna had thankfully babysat Aria and Sam during the ceremony. They would not have done well at a 2-hour long service. We joined them at home along with our other guests to celebrate Cole's big day.

Cole enjoyed his favorite Red Robin lunch, opening gifts, and a giant cookie from T-Rex Cookie.

A big congratulations to Cole on his blessed Confirmation Day.
