Our Easter Celebration

What a joyous Easter we had! Our celebration began with the dying of Easter eggs. Instead of the normal "plop an egg in a cup" dye, I bought some that you paint on. Owen thought this was great. He slathered egg after egg in paint. Owen must have thought he had too many color options and it wasn't long before he mixed all the paints together making his very own color!Easter morning the Slominski Four got dressed up for church. The boys looked adorable in their matching outfits. And Shane looked pretty spiffy in his suit and tie. When Owen saw him, he exclaimed, "Pa so handsome!"

Knowing that church was going to be packed, we left early to try to find a seat. Everyone else must of had the same idea. When we arrived there was barely a seat to be found. We ended up squeezing the four of us into a space for two.

Cole's nap time has been fairly unpredictable and he soon decided it was time for bed. These days he's pretty picky on where he sleeps and usually only sleeps in his crib or when we are driving and definitely NOT in church! So Mom and Cole missed most of the mass as we paced back and forth until he finally dozed off.

After church we headed down to Apple Valley to the boys' grandparents house. After a delicious dinner, Owen had a blast playing with all Grandma and Grandpa Slominski's super fun toys...

And Cole loved being passed around from one smiling face to another...

Then it was time to see what the Easter bunny had left for the boys. Owen had his very own Easter egg hunt...

And then the boys dug into their Easter baskets...
Hmmm...wonder where Cole gets his grin from??

Soon it was time to head home for a nap...and more Easter surprises...

Look what the Easter bunny brought me!

Man, opening all these Easter eggs is sure a lot of work!I finally found my Easter basket!

The Easter bunny even brought the boys an extra special treat..a sandbox! Alas, the bunny wasn't able to find any sandbox sand in Minnesota in early April...

Wow! The Easter bunny brought me a sandbox!
That bunny! A sandbox with no sand. What's a boy to do?
