Rose's Baptismal Day

On July 19, 2015 Rose officially became a member of the Catholic Church.  All our family came to celebrate her big day with us.  Rose looked beautiful dressed in white.

The ceremony was held during the 11:00 mass at St. Odilia's.  Unfortunately the timing wasn't the best for Rose as mass ran long and she was hungry and very ready for a nap by the time it was over.

Rose loves to be on the move these days so being confined to someone's arms throughout mass was a challenge.  She was a very wiggly girl!  We managed to keep her entertained during most of mass with her favorite snack, Mum Mums.  She ate one after another and nearly finished off the whole box.

Soon is was time for Rose's baptismal ceremony.  The boys did a great job listening and following along (which is highly unusual for them!)  Rose was quite the wiggle worm during the ceremony, but when it was time for the oils and water, she was very interested in what was happening.

When Father James announced the newest little Catholic, the congregation broke out clapping and so did she!

Rose conked out in the car on the drive home and slept for a couple hours.  She was one tired girl!  After her beauty rest, she was ready to open her gifts...so ready that she crawled right on top of her first present!

To our sweet little Rose,

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.  Numbers 6:24-26
