Halloween 2019

Fall was upon us and with its arrival came our annual trek to Waldoch Farm. Each year we venture to the farm for some outdoor fun. With one extra toddler this year, we ended up having to go back a second time - there was just too much to do and not enough time in our day! On our first trip, we dug in the giant box filled with corn, sailed down the big slide, fed the animals and made our way through the corn maze.

The corn maze is usually a favorite as we follow Owen, our map reader, throughout the winding and twisting paths. But this year, Rose also thought she should be the leader (which is not an easy task even for an adult), so the journey wasn't as peaceful as it should have been. Somehow Aria managed to sleep through the chaos.

A couple days later we returned to the farm...this time to get our pumpkins! We took a short stroll out to the pumpkin patch to find the perfect ones.

Thankfully all 5 pumpkins fit on the wagon as we loaded them all up and set off to pay for our big load.

The kids designed their pumpkin faces and Shane (with a bit of artistic license) carved their creations.

For Halloween, 3 out of the 5 kids recycled a costume from prior years making costume shopping this year a snap. Owen choose the spooky Pumpkin Head costume from his assorted collection of scary costumes he's built up over the years.

Cole wanted to be a Policeman this year. He looked dashing dressed in his blue uniform.

Rose choose to ride a unicorn. She was very excited about her new ride!

Kate recycled Rose's old costume and went as an adorable Wonder Woman.

And Aria kept with tradition and was Tigger like her 4 siblings before her. She looked darling and didn't even complain about wearing a costume.

We hit up our church's annual Trunk-or-Treat the week before Halloween, then our small neighborhood the night of (although Owen, Rose and Shane continued on to the street behind ours to load up on more goodies), and Nana Judy's and Popi Dave's annual Halloween Bash a few days later.

We had enough Halloween fun to last us until next year! Happy Halloween!
