Cole's First Communion

After many months of pushing back Cole's big celebration due to our unknown travel dates to Guyana, on November 17th Cole finally celebrated his First Communion at St. Odilias. We were all up bright and early as we loaded up the car to make our way to St. O's 7:30 am Sunday mass. Cole looked dashing in his suit and tie.

To make the day extra special, we were able to participate throughout the mass. Our crew of 7 processed down the aisle with the priest at the beginning of mass (and no one fell down!) and then a portion of us carried up the gifts (thankfully nothing was dropped! PHEW!)

Cole was so excited for his big celebration. He had been asking since May when he'd be able to go to communion and today was THE DAY! At the end of mass, Father Rask congratulated Cole and the entire congregation applauded. Cole was so excited that they clapped just for him. What a special day for our sweet boy!

After church, we headed home with our special guests and enjoyed donuts and coffee while Cole opened his gifts. A big congratulations to Cole!
