Day 36 in Bogotá!

Today has been rather dreary in Bogotá with lots of clouds and rain off and on throughout the day. For brunch we made the trek to Jacques for some oh so tasty pastries and coffee. Owen thought his was so yummy that he was using both hands to eat!

On our way back we stopped by the grocery store – somehow we had run out of diapers and didn’t even realize it! It may be because Owen pulls all the diapers out of the package so they are just scattered around the apartment.

We got back to our apartment just in time for me to kiss my boy goodbye and run off to catch my cab to the US Embassy to get Owen’s visa! We picked up Erin on the way and off we went for our 3:30 appointment. When we arrived, there wasn’t a soul around. The window at the reception was closed and it looked like the whole place had shut down for the day. It was rather concerning! But the guard eventually opened the window and after a few more minutes of waiting, we were allowed into the Embassy and shortly afterward had the boys’ visas in our hands! Yeah! All our paperwork is now complete! With it being such a dreary cold wet day, we’ll be spending the rest of our day relaxing in our warm dry apartment.

Last night, Owen found a new toy to play with – the roll of toilet paper! Not only did he think it was a great time to unroll the paper…

…but he had a blast tearing it up into tiny little pieces that were so very fun for Mama and Grandma to pick up! Grandma joined in the fun by putting the TP on Owen’s head which he sure got a kick out of!

When it’s time for bed, Owen’s quite the little radiator. And all the heat makes his hairdo turn into a very stylish Mohawk!

Tomorrow we’re off to FANA to do some more shopping at their gift shop, drop off some things for the Hogar, and bid everyone a fond farewell! Only a few more days until we come home!! Owen can't wait!!
