What a Beautiful Day to Build a House

The weather could not have been more perfect today.  A high of 56 degrees on November 9th!  Hopefully the weather continues to cooperate for us - we have a long ways to go yet and winter is right around the corner!

Now that we've finally started building, things seem to be going very quickly.  We are already a couple weeks ahead of schedule.  They've been cranking away at the foundation and we are starting to see the house we designed on paper take form in front of our eyes.  The boys and I swing by every day on our way home from school.  It's been very exciting to see the progress from day to day. 

Owen and I met with our project supervisor and the lumber guy on Tuesday and they gave us our first (of many!) decisions to make - picking out the colors for our shingles and exterior windows.  Oh boy!  The fun is just beginning!
