Halloween 2014

For the 5th year in a row, we waited until the last possible evening to carve our pumpkins.  The night before Halloween, the boys eagerly grabbed their markers and went to work sketching their pumpkins' faces.

Owen had a clear plan as to what his pumpkin was going to look like and very neatly drew its face.

Cole started out drawing all the essential parts of a face, but ended up getting a bit carried away with the fun of coloring all over his pumpkin.

The boys "helped" clean out the pumpkin insides and then Shane carved out the faces.

The next evening, it was time to get dressed up and hit the street!  This year Owen was a paleontologist and Cole dressed up as Daniel Tiger.

We live in a very small neighborhood, but it continues to be the perfect number of stops for my boys (especially on such a cold night!)  Plus they get very spoiled with special treats and toys purchased just for them by our neighbors.

The big boys (Shane and Owen) spent the rest of the evening enjoying a party at the neighbor's across the street while Cole and I enjoyed a quiet night at home, chomping away on chocolate.
