For this first trip, just Shane and I will be traveling. This trip is purely for "bonding" so it should be a pretty mellow time spent getting to know our new baby girl. We are not yet sure when we will get custody of Aria, but hopefully they will let her stay with us soon after our arrival.
From my understanding, nothing else will happen during this time period. After an adequate bonding period which we've been told is 2 to 3 weeks long, we will return home without Aria and await our 2nd trip when we will hopefully finalize Aria's adoption and bring her home. There could be a 3rd trip if we aren't able to complete everything necessary during our 2nd trip there. But for now, one step at a time.
In just ONE DAY we will be in Guyana! Aria, we are coming!!
