Kate celebrated her First Holy Communion on May 9th at St. Odilia Catholic Church. She looked radiant in her beautiful gown that she picked out herself, complete with headband and gloves.
After more photos, we found our assigned pew and joined the rest of our guests while Kate went with her St. Odilia classmates to prepare for the special service.
Soon the Communicants walked in two by two and took their seats.
Kate was asked to bring up the gifts during mass along with her friend McKenna. She was worried about dropping something so she made sure to take off her fancy gloves beforehand. They both did a great job.
The First Communicants reverently approached the alter for Communion.
After mass, we celebrated Kate's big milestone with family.
Kate requested Cane's chicken and fries with banana splits for dessert to be served at her celebration.
After lunch, Kate opened her thoughtful gifts chosen for the special day.
Congratulations on your First Communion, Kate! We are so proud of you!
