Owen's High School Grad Party

We celebrated Owen's high school graduation with a private cruise on Lake Minnetonka with Al and Alma's. Owen originally didn't want a party at all and after throwing out several ideas to him, he eventually decided at the last minute that a cruise with friends and family would be amazing. And with less than two weeks to get it all planned!

Thankfully Al and Alma's did all the heavy lifting. We just needed to pick out the menu and provide a head count. Owen chose pasta for the meal (I think that boy could eat noodles every single day!) and we quickly printed out invitations for his friends.

The big day arrived on Sunday, May 31st. As we made the drive to Lake Minnetonka, it started to downpour. The rain kept coming most of the drive and things were looking bleak. But then the clouds parted and the rain stopped! Just in time for the guests to arrive and the fun to begin.

Al and Alma's was very accommodating for our wheelchair users and got us all safely aboard.

It was rather cloudy and a bit chilly, but at least it wasn't raining!

Owen had invited all his close friends, and thankfully the vast majority were able to attend on such short notice.

The top of the boat had fantastic views of Lake Minnetonka.

Owen was all smiles as he mingled amongst his friends and family. 

Afterwards, he happily said it was an amazing event. He was so glad we could all come together to celebrate his big accomplishment. Way to go Owen! Congratulations on your upcoming high school graduation. We're so proud of you!
