You turned 6 months old today! We would have loved to celebrate your 1/2 birthday with you in Bogota. We are working as hard as we can on getting our paperwork completed so that we can travel to be with you. If it was up to us, we'd be in Colombia already. Unfortunately, most of the paperwork process is out of our hands. We are trying to be patient, but it's so very hard! We have your photos up all over the house. We love looking at your adorable face and we long to hold you in our arms. For Valentine's Day, your big brother Owen put a special Valentine on your frame just for you.
While we wait for the government to go through its process, we are keeping busy doing all that we can do to prepare for you. A photo book I created just for you based on the book "Mi Amor Por Ti" (My Love For You) is on its way to you. It's the first book I read to your brother Owen and will be the first one I read to you too. I can't wait!!
We have also been busy preparing the house for your arrival. The baby gates are up, the outlets are plugged and your big brothers' toys have been looked through and all chocking hazards removed. Your closet is quickly filling up with adorable girl clothes, pajamas, hats, shoes, hair accessories and toys. Bottles, bowls, spoons, formula and diapers are piling up. The furniture in your room has been rearranged. Hot pink bedding and decor are ordered and will soon arrive. I can't wait to get your room decorated just for you!!
We've been thinking about our trip to Colombia, making long to-do lists, shopping lists, and packing lists. The new stroller for our trip has arrived. It's a tight squeeze for your big brothers, but it should do the trick. The goal is two content and contained boys. Owen even has his World Atlas ready for Colombia.
We so look forward to the day that we will finally be united as a family of 5. We are praying that the rest of our paperwork goes through quickly and that we will soon be on a plane bound for Bogota! We love you, Rose Angelina!
