Provisional Approval!

It's been a long week of waiting and more waiting.  On Tuesday we were finally able to get our fingerprints taken at the Immigration Office.  Our actual appointment date wasn't until March 5th so we are happy that they squeezed us in earlier.  I talked with our officer at USCIS right after our prints were taken and she had hoped to approve us Wednesday.

It's amazing how long a day can seem when you are waiting for such important news.  Between Wednesday morning and this afternoon, I must have checked my email a thousand times.  Finally this afternoon at exactly 3:21 pm, the email I had been anxiously waiting for arrived!  We have provisional approval!!

We are officially on to the next step - get Rose's visa.  Our paperwork has been forwarded to the National Visa Center.  Next week (fingers crossed!) we hope to get our case number.  We need this number before we can complete the next form and get the visa process moving forward.  The US piece of the process can take over two weeks, so please pray that it goes quicker.  We can not wait to finally be on a plane bound for Bogota to meet our daughter!!
