Could you be his family?

The journey to our sweet little boy started with an email. An email dated March 9, 2022 from Nightlight Christian Adoptions with the subject line, "Could you be his family?" I have received numerous emails just like this one over the years and reluctantly open each one despite the gut-wrenching feeling looking back at these precious little souls who are waiting for their families to see them.

But this time was different. As I gazed back at this sweet little face, who Nightlight coincidentally assigned the pseudo name "Shane", I couldn't shake the feeling that my answer to their question just so happened to be "yes". Yes, we could indeed be his family.

It wouldn't be until November 12, 2022 when we finally set the ball in motion and sent an inquiry asking for more information on the sweet little boy with the big grin. And the rest is history as we now prepare to meet and welcome into our family our 3 year old son...

Sam had a very traumatic birth and was deprived of oxygen, resulting in Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) and Cerebral Palsy. He is a little warrior and already overcome so much. We are ever so eager to finally meet him and scope him up into our arms. It won't be long now!
