11 Years with Owen

Owen - It's been ELEVEN years since that day we first set foot at FANA, anxiously waiting in the Green Room to hold the little boy whose face we had been memorizing since first seeing your photo just 11 days earlier. And now we are celebrating eleven years together! Oh how they have flown by!

Your actual Family Day was a bit chaotic with an emergency run to the hospital with your sister Rose. (She decided to be an acrobat, climb on top of her little tea set table and broke her arm.) So instead, we'd wait until Saturday to celebrate your day.

Come Saturday, the day was yours to plan and packed full of all your favorite things! It started out with a lazy morning on the iPad catching up on your favorite Youtubers and Minecraft games.

Once the crew was ready to go, we grabbed an early lunch at Noodles. You ordered your go-to meal - butter noodles with chicken - and gobbled it up!

Afterwards, we were off to the Science Museum to explore and learn about all sorts of interesting things. You sure love the museum! You take time to read about the exhibits and figure out all the hands-on experiments. You are quite the scientist. We walked every inch of the museum and finally got our fill.

Next on the list - ice cream at Izzy's! YUM! No one can beat the deliciousness of Izzy's ice cream.

We ended the day with dinner at Orchid where you enjoyed a big plate of Orange Chicken and rice (minus the orange sauce). It's basically chicken nuggets with a Chinese flare. You love it!

We had such a great day celebrating you - our first born, the one who made us parents. You are our creative, curious, technology-loving boy. We are forever grateful to FANA for choosing us for you! Happy 11th Family Day, Owen! We love you forever and for always!
