Day 17: No Power in La Mesa

It was just another day here in La Mesa. We played on the small play ground in the front yard. There are only two swings and that was the one thing all 4 youngest wanted to do, so turns had to be taken (albeit there was definitely some grumbling.)

We enjoyed several rounds of Uno. Rose is a master player, and Kate is starting to pick it up.

Cole mostly hung out in the master bedroom. He loves the quiet and full-control of the huge TV where he can watch as much WWE as his heart desires.

Sam seems back to himself. No fever today and he's eating better. I like to call him my "little bird". When he wants to eat, he'll open his mouth as wide as possible. If you don't notice, he'll make a little "uh" sound to get your attention. He really loves chips so we have to keep them hidden until he's finished eating our preferred options. He's quite the head-strong boy and knows exactly what he wants.

After a successful nap time, we got everyone fed and then planned to spend the afternoon splashing away in the fabulous pool. Alas, Mother Nature had other plans as a rain shower turned into quite the downfall with no end in sight.

I checked my WhatsApp several times today waiting to hear if there's been any progress in our case. Unfortunately no update came. Hopefully Monday we will have some news to share.

Tonight just as we were getting ready to get dinner prepped for the older three kiddos, we lost electricity. After waiting an hour for it to come back on and with nighttime upon us and limited battery on my cell, I thankfully got ahold of the owner of the house's daughter. There is a generator that should have come on but didn't. The caretaker of the property is working to turn it on, but he's been attempting it for 30 minutes so far with no luck. Fingers crossed we'll wake up to electricity!
