Day 31: Parque Jaime Duque

For our last day in Bogota, we trekked to the Parque Jaime Duque - a massive park part zoo/part amusement park. One could easily spend two days there and still not see everything. We were accompanied by our dear friend Patricia, Jorge's wife. We also had a special guest with us - Owen's birth sister Laura. She had never been to the park before and was so excited when we extended the invitation.

We arrived around 10:30 am and were there until the park closed at 5:00 pm. There was so much to do and see, and we missed out on a lot. Due to its massive size, we just couldn't squeeze it all in. But we had a fabulous time trying.

The center of the park revolves around a massive replica of the Taj Mahal. It's quite impressive.

It was such a long day and Sam didn't nap in the stroller so he ended up taking a cat nap on the ride home.

When we got back to our apartment, Rose reminded me that I had promised she could go to the 3 story McDonald's down the street during our trip. Since it was now or never, Shane took Rose, Kate and Sam to the McDonald's for dinner.

I've been packing all evening and finally getting close to being ready for our early wakeup call. We are coming home!!! We will be picked up at 5:00 am and heading to the airport to catch our flights. We will definitely have our hands full and hoping for a smooth non-eventful flight home.

Chao Colombia! Until next time.
