All 5 Together At Last!

This morning our driver picked us up and off we went to FANA to get the newest little Slominski!  The boys enjoyed the long ride to Suba, a suburb of Colombia.  They think it's pretty cool not to be in car seats (even though it makes me cringe!)

Before we knew it, we were pulling up to a familiar sight - the FANA sign!  We had arrived!  We unloaded the car and walked up the stairs and into the very building that our beautiful daughter had called home for the past 6 months.

We made our way up another set of stairs and into the Green Room, the same room where we were united with Owen!  What a flood of memories!  The sights, the sounds!  It's truly a magical place.  And to see Owen's eyes as he looked around - now able to see in person the things that he had only seen in photographs.  He was so excited!

Waiting in the Green Room
We had to wait for quite some time and the boys were going a bit stir crazy.

Eventually the nurse came to update us on Rose's health.  Rose has a bit of a cold and is on 2 different types of inhalers for the next week.  Hopefully her cold clears up soon, poor baby girl.  Otherwise she is in excellent health.

Finally!  It was time to meet Rose!!  The cameras started snapping pictures in the hall and we knew that Rose was on her way.

Fixing up Cole to meet his baby sister

We are ready!!
Rose coming down the hall
Soon a vision of pink appeared around the corner.  There she was!  Our daughter!  She was beautiful!

Laying eyes on Rose for the first time!
The Slominski Five together at last!
As I held her in my arms for the first time, I knew that every moment of our wait, every tear that was shed, every road block that we encountered, all of it was so very worth it and a necessary part of our journey to our precious little girl.  We are so humbled and blessed!

On our way back to our apartment, Owen said to me, "It was even better than I imagined."  He is so smitten with his baby sister.  As for Cole, it's going to take him a bit more time to warm up to the idea of no longer being the baby of the family.

Rose is such a happy little girl.  She's teething and drooling a ton and everything goes in her mouth!  She loves being lifted into the air.  She's very strong and loves rolling over and being on her tummy.  It won't be long until she's crawling.  She's a very observant little girl.  She loves watching her wild big brothers.  She is the perfect addition to the Slominski family.  We are overjoyed that we are finally all together!
