Day 12 - Plaza De Bolivar and the Gold Museum

This morning Rose woke up with some crazy pony tail hair.

Luckily her hair is more manageable than her brothers.  Hair accessories definitely come in handy!

The kids were being rather silly this morning as we waited for our driver to pick us up for today's adventure.  (Notice Rose's headband - Owen put it on her.  He loves doing her hair!)

Today Jorge Rico brought us to the Plaza De Bolivar.  On the walk there, we saw many street performers.

The plaza is surrounded by beautiful old government buildings and a Cathedral.

The boys loved feeding and chasing all the birds in the plaza!

Of course, it started raining during our tour, so we headed to a Colombian restaurant to grab a late lunch.  The food was delicious!

Ajiaco - YUM!
After lunch, we walked to the Gold Museum.  Last time we were in Colombia, the museum was closed for renovations so this was a first for us.  They had countless gold artifacts.  The kids weren't so impressed, but at least we can say we've been there, done that!

We were all tuckered out by the end of the tour.  Owen even fell asleep on the ride home.
