It's a date!

Today was a BIG day.  We got the call that the final piece of our paperwork process was completed.  We have our Article 5 approval!  This means we can travel to Colombia to get Rose!!  We are thrilled and a bit surprised that it happened so quickly.

Now we are scrambling to get things done on our side.  We'll be making a quick trip to Chicago to get our visas and finishing up packing luggage for a family of 5!  (So much to pack, so little space.)  We are booked to fly out on March 18th and on Friday, March 20th we will be united with our daughter!  We've been waiting for this day for so very long it seems like a dream.  The 5 of us will finally be together!  We can't wait!

This weekend the boys got haircuts so they could look dashing when they meet their sister for the first time.  Afterwards, we grabbed dinner at PF Changs.  When I cracked open my fortune cookie, I couldn't help but smile.  It said, "You will soon emerge victorious from the maze you've been traveling in."  How true!  Our adoption journey has been a long and winding maze, but as we gaze in amazement at the photos of our daughter, we know that every single minute of our wait was so worth it!  We are truly blessed.

Just one more week and Rose will be forever in our arms!!
