Preparing for Tomorrow

We had a pretty uneventful day today.  Early this morning we decided to switch rooms and move to the opposite side of our apartment complex.  Our original room was on the street side of the building and Bogota traffic is loud all day and night.  Being a light sleeper, I barely slept a wink last night.  Our new room is garden side and it's amazingly quiet so bedtime and nap time should be much better for all of us.

We're staying at Plenitud, the same apartment complex we stayed in when Owen was just a baby.  It's a large building with beautiful grounds.  Being here brings back so many memories!  And it's so fun to watch Owen running through the courtyard enjoying a light rain shower or chasing the pigeons.

We spent most of our day walking around our apartment complex, stocking up the kitchen with essentials and settling into our apartment.  We have two bedrooms and 3 baths with the smallest showers you may have ever seen.  The boys are camping out in the master room while Rose and I will have the second bedroom to ourselves.  Hopefully then the boys will be able to sleep through the night without being woken up by a crying baby.

There's a couple new restaurants that opened up just across the street.  Not feeling very adventurous yet, we grabbed lunch at the new TGI Fridays.  We're hoping to be able to keep the boys on their gluten and dairy free diet, so we figured we would have a better chance navigating the menu there.

After lunch, we headed over to Exito, which is similar to a Super Target, and loaded up on groceries for the next few days.  Cole was so tired from lack of sleep that he could barely keep his eyes open on the walk back to our apartment.  He doesn't usually nap, but this afternoon he slept for a couple hours.  He was that tired!

This afternoon Shane picked us up a couple cups of Oma coffee to help perk us up.  Ummmm.  It's so good!  And just across the street!  This might become our afternoon routine.

We had dinner in our room and spent the rest of the evening relaxing.  We were also treated to what will be our last set of photos of Rose from Marcella.  Tomorrow morning we will be on our way to FANA to meet the newest little Slominski!!  We are truly blessed!
