Day 17 - Happy Easter

Happy Easter from Bogota!  Today the kids woke up to a surprise from the Easter Bunny - a bag full of goodies and their favorite chocolates hidden all over the apartment.  Of course, when I told Owen the Easter Bunny had visited us, he immediately said, "I know it was you!!"  He's growing up too fast!

"Oh my! A new book!"

We got dressed up for the special day and walked to mass at a nearby church.  Rose slept through most of mass.  It was a beautiful service with very talented musicians.

After church, we had brunch in our apartment, followed by play time at the indoor play area, swimming in the pool, and relaxing at our apartment.

We took a short walk down the street to a nearby park.  It was a beautiful day in Bogota.

We took the long way back to our apartment so we could show Nana Bev and Uncle James some views of the city.

Rose had her usual dinner in our apartment and the rest of us decided to take a chance on a small local place just down the street.

We said goodbye to Uncle James tonight.  He came to escort my mom to Colombia and is flying sky high back to the US on the red eye tonight.  Tomorrow Holy Week is finally over.  While we've enjoyed a week of down time, we are looking forward to getting our paperwork process moving forward this coming week so that Rose can legally be named what she already is - our daughter!
