Today we made the trip to Zipaquira to see the Salt Cathedral.

The Salt Cathedral is located 200 meters underground in what used to be a salt mine. Inside the mine are the Stations of the Cross with a cross depicting each station. After the stations there is a beautiful church. It is truly an amazing sight to see!

While you are deep in the mine, it's definitely a good idea to not think about being over 600 feet below the ground!! After making our way through the impressive mine, it was time to return to daylight.
We grabbed a quick lunch at a nearby restaurant. Everyone had their usual - ajiaco for the adults and chicken with french fries for the boys. Poor Rose had to stick with her baby food. She is really looking forward to eating grown-up food when more of those teeth start coming in!
As we drove back to Bogota, Rose kept resting her head on the window to feel the vibration of the car. All the kids eventually fell asleep on the way back.

Tomorrow sounds like we'll be making a return trip to Jaime Duque. The boys loved it so much that they requested we go back. And Rose is such an easy-going little girl, she's just happy to tag along with her big brothers!
