4 weeks in Bogota!

It’s been 4 weeks in Bogota! Wow! Owen decided to bring us sightseeing today. Our first stop was Mount Monserrate. Instead of taking the cable car up the mountain, this time we took the train. Owen showed Grandma and Uncle James some great views of the mountains and Bogotá, the church, and the outdoor stations of the cross.

Our next stop was La Candelaria to see some historic buildings. Our driver (who couldn’t speak a word of English) showed us around and attempted to explain what the various buildings were.

Eventually we came to the Plaza de Bolivar which was covered in pigeons...

The Palace of Justice where the Supreme Court works

The Lievano building which is the seat for Bogota's Mayor

The National Capitol, which is the seat of congress

The Bogotá Cathedral

We took one last stroll through a quaint neighborhood before heading back to our apartment.

When we got back to our apartment, Owen had some fun playing his favorite game of "Take everything out of the toy bag and throw it on the floor"...

...showing us his pitching arm...

...showing off his bubble beard...

...teaching Grandma how to open the cabinets...

...and telling us just how good blankets taste...
