Today we woke to find out some not so good news. The
Unfortunately it started raining while we were at the market, but we were still able to find a few Colombian souvenirs. Afterward, we were all famished so we grabbed a cab and headed to Crepes and Waffles of course! There was quite a line to eat inside, so we grabbed a couple tables outside. Shane and I decided to split an order of the chicken and broccoli crepes (which came highly recommended by the Henry’s) so that we’d have room for ice cream. Owen ordered mango juice and spinach and queso crepes which he loved!! He also had his very first helado (ice cream) with raspberries which he thought was the greatest!
This is cold...
but delicious!!
After our wonderful meal, we headed to Migues to buy some shoes for Owen, but we soon found out that they are closed on Sunday. So the Henry’s headed back to the residencia and the rest of us decided to take a long shot that Maku (another Colombian market) would be open. Unfortunately, they were also closed. So we headed on to our next errand - picking up diapers at Pepe Ganga and then attempted to get cash out of the ATM – which of course didn’t work. Since the kids were getting a bit tired of being attached to their moms, we headed back to El Refugio and Shane and Ted went on their own in search of a functioning ATM.
