And then spent the morning playing…

After a bath, he was all set for the party...
Erin and Lucas Sibley stopped by for the party. The pizza hadn't yet arrived, but Lucas was starving!
Then Owen gave Papa, Grandma Slominski, Great Grandma and Grandpa Dineen, Uncle Jason, and Aunt Laura and Kris a call on his webcam. He's very technologically savvy!
Then it was time for pizza!
Hmmmmmm...Dominos!
Boy was that some good pizza!
We then went a little crazy and whipped out the party hats!!
Owen couldn't even wait for the cake to be served. He just dug right in!!
This is some good stuff!
Grandma Klein brought a very special candle for Owen's first birthday - the candle that Mama had for her first birthday! That's one old candle!

After Owen devoured his piece of cake, he was sticky from head to toe. There was no way to salvage his birthday clothes so off they went!
After he was cleaned up, he swung over to the computer to see how Papa was doing.
And then came time to open presents...
Owen wanted me to say "Muchas Gracias" for all the wonderful gifts! He absolutely loves them!
He may be the next American Idol...

Next it was time for cake! We had gotten an "Elmo" tres leches cake from a nearby bakery . Uncle James thought Elmo looked a little like a red Kermit the frog!
